“Let the beauty we love be what we do. There are hundreds of way to kneel and kiss the ground.“ Rumi
“A simple, beautiful practice has bee spreading along with the Work That Reconnects. To celebrate their commitment to life and their solidarity with activists the world over, people join hands in a circles dance….Joann took the Elm Dance to workshops she was leading with a Russian-speaking team in areas poisons by the Chernobyl disaster. When we sing we pray twice: Down in the River to Pray
One: Dear God, Goddess, You who we call by many names, You are the dance, and leap and flow in us and all over the place- you who are in every living thing, up and down, inside our bodies and in the dance.
All: May this pray reach those who have cast you out of their hearts and are feeling lonely and alienation, (Silence) We pray for those who are suffering from poverty as well as poverty of spirit, (Silence) Those in war torn catastrophes in far way places and for all the non human creatures who are suffering from ecologic poison, and rape of the land. (Silence)
One: We pray for those who are sick, those who suffer from addiction, mental illness and for those who are mourning. (Silence) We pray for those who are dying
and being born. We pray for all those who have asked for our prayers, our clients and those in our church. (Silence) We pray for Mother Earth, for all creatures, plants, animals and minerals. (Silence) We pray for our enemies as Jesus taught us. (Silence)
All: We come to make confession for we are often self-centered and ignorant of the harm we do. Please forgive us for those things we know we have done and for those things we do not know we have done. We long to be close to you, Gracious God and to become more loving to ourselves and all of creation. Please guide us in this time of global and ecological crisis that Our Common Home, a church and counseling center will be a source of service, inspiration, healing and love. Amen, Shalom and Blessed Be Prayers (We will go around the circle and you are invited to lift up prayers of those in need or say Pass.)
Unison Prayer Mother/Father God who is within us, we celebrate your many names. Your wisdom come, your will be done, unfolding from the depths within us. Each day you give us all that we need. Make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred let me sow love; Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is despair, hope; Where there is darkness, light; And where there is sadness, joy, And where there is sadness, joy, joy, joy. God grant that I may not so much see; To be consoled as to console; To be understood, as to understand; To be loved as to love; For it is in giving that we receive, It is in pardoning that we pardoned. And it is in dying that we are born, to Eternal Life. Amen, Amen, Amen

Passing of the Peace God Loves You and There is Nothing You Can Do About It
Scriptures Gospel of Mark 1:21-28, NRSV They went to Capernaum; and when the sabbath came, he entered the synagogue and taught. 22They were astounded at his teaching, for he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes. 23Just then there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit, 24and he cried out, “What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are, the Holy One of God.” 25But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silent, and come out of him!” 26And the unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying with a loud voice, came out of him.27They were all amazed, and they kept on asking one another, “What is this? A new teaching—with authority! He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him.” 28At once his fame began to spread throughout the surrounding region of Galilee.
Philippians 4:8-9 NRSV Finally, beloved,[a] whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about[b] these things. 9 Keep on doing the things that you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you.

Meditation "If prayer were a conventional form of energy, it should weaken as distance is increased, and this does not happen. If it were energy, its effects could be shielded, but this has not proved possible. This suggests that prayer does not involve any conventional form of energy or signal, that it does not travel from here to there, and that it may not "go" anywhere at all. It then may be simultaneously present everywhere, enveloping sender, object and Loving GOD (my addition) [the Almighty] all at once." Healing Words, Dr. Larry Doseey MD

Our dear, dear Mother, daily provider, earth be your name. The time has come, to honor you, to know you and to show our love.” 1.You give us each day our daily grain, kissed by the sun and kissed by the rain. Teach us now to find a way to care for you in our work and play. Chorus2.Within the beauty of your silent spin, we know you’re hurting and we feel your pain your pain. With your forgiveness we can start anew. We need a chance to make it up to you. Chorus
Prayer in Unison Dear God, Goddess, You who we call by many names, You are in us and all over the place- in every living thing, up and down, inside our bodies and you who we live inside, for you are the vastness of the galaxies-- we come to say thank you. You are creativity, energy and light, and you are dancing in star dust and stars, plants and animals, oceans and mountains, clouds and air, and all life that dances in cells and atoms; You who are love, truth, dreams and all holiness that is invisible to our eyes. You who are the net of relationships —you are an awesome God and we give you thanks. You God are the unity that is the all, beyond words yet as close as our breath. You who are the sacred interconnectedness-- we give thanks for our part of your miraculous oneness of creation. Our hearts are filled with awe and gratitude for our life and for all life and for you gracious God that animates us all. Thank you. We come also to make confession for we are often selfish, greedy as well as ignorant of the harm we do and we ask for your forgiveness. Please forgive us for the harm we do intentionally and the harm we do that we are not aware of. We long to be close to you and to spiritually grow and become more loving to all of creation. Please guide us in this time of global and ecological crisis that Our Common Home, a church and counseling center will be a source of service, inspiration, healing and love. Amen
Prayers (We will go around the circle and you are invited to lift up prayers of those in need or say Pass.)
Unison Prayer Mother/Father God who is within us, we celebrate your many names. Your wisdom come, your will be done, unfolding from the depths within us. Each day you give us all that we need. You remind us of our limits and we let go. You support us in our power and we act with courage. For you are the dwelling place within us, the empowerment around us, and the celebration among us, now and forever. Ame

The Gospel of the Beloved Companion
42:12 AND I SAW MY SOUL, NOW FREE OF ALL DARKNESS, ASCEND AGAIN TO BE FILLED WITH THE LIGHT AND GOODNESS THAT IS THE SPIRIT. AND I WAS FILLED WITH A FIERCE JOY AS MY SOUL TURNED TO FIRE AND FLEW UPWARDS IN THE FLAMES FROM WHENCE MY MASTER SHOWED ME THE EIGHTH AND FINAL BOUGH, UPON WHICH BURNED THE FRUIT OF THE GRACE AND BEAUTY OF THE SPIRIT.
42:13 AND I FELT MY SOUL AND ALL THAT I COULD SEE DISSOLVE AND VANISH IN A BRILLIANT LIGHT, IN A LIKENESS UNTO THE SUN. AND IN THE LIGHT, I BEHELD A WOMAN OF EXTRAORDINARY BEAUTY, CLOTHED IN GARMENTS OF BRILLIANT WHITE. THE FIGURE EXTENDED ITS ARMS, AND I FELT MY SOUL DRAWN INTO ITS EMBRACE, AND IN THAT MOMENT I WAS FREED FROM THE WORLD, AND I REALIZED THAT THE FETTER OF FORGETFULNESS WAS TEMPORARY. FROM NOW ON, I SHALL REST THROUGH THE COURSE OF THE TIME OF THE AGE IN SILENCE. AND THEN, AS IF FROM A GREAT DISTANCE, I HEARD THE VOICE OF MY MASTER TELL ME, ‘MIRYAM, WHOM I HAVE CALLED THE MIGDALAH, NOW YOU HAVE SEEN THE ALL, AND HAVE KNOWN THE TRUTH OF YOUR SELF; THE TRUTH THAT IS I AM. NOW YOU HAVE BECOME THE COMPLETION OF COMPLETIONS.’ AND THUS, THE VISION ENDED.
42:14 THIS IS WHAT MY MASTER HAS TOLD AND SHOWN ME. AND ONLY FROM THE TRUTH I TELL YOU, THAT ALL THAT I HAVE REVEALED TO YOU IS TRUE. 42:15 WHEN THE MIGDALAH HAD TOLD OF ALL THAT YESHUA HAD SAID AND DONE, SHE FELL SILENT, SINCE IT WAS IN THAT SILENCE THAT YESHUA HAD SPOKEN WITH HER AND REVEALED THESE TRUTHS

Dancing and Singing after Dinner
The Hoky Poky
Tiny Dancer, by Elton John
Blue jean baby, L.A. lady, seamstress for the band
Pretty eyed, pirate smile, you'll marry a music man
Ballerina, you must have seen her dancing in the sand
And now she's in me, always with me, tiny dancer in my hand
Jesus freaks out in the street
Handing tickets out for God
Turning back she just laughs
The boulevard is not that bad
Piano man he makes his stand
In the auditorium
Looking on she sings the songs
The words she knows, the tune she hums
But oh how it feels so real
Lying here with no one near
Only you and you can hear me
When I say softly, slowly
Hold me closer tiny dancer
Count the headlights on the highway
Lay me down in sheets of linen
You had a busy day today
Hold me closer tiny dancer
Count the headlights on the highway
Lay me…
