Healing Words, Dr. Larry Doseey MD

Meditation "If prayer were a conventional form of energy, it should weaken as distance is increased, and this does not happen. If it were energy, its effects could be shielded, but this has not proved possible. This suggests that prayer does not involve any conventional form of energy or signal, that it does not travel from here to there, and that it may not "go" anywhere at all. It then  may be simultaneously present everywhere, enveloping sender, object and Loving GOD (my addition) [the Almighty] all at once." Healing Words, Dr. Larry Doseey MD

Prayers of Confession in Unison Merciful God, We confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word and deed, by what we have done and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole hearts and mind and strength; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We ask for pardon that we may delight in your loving forgiveness. Amen (adapted from Presbyterian worship book)

Prayers of the People: Petitions and Intercessions (in unison “God hear our Prayer”)

Silent Prayer and Unison Prayer  Mother/Father God who is within us, we celebrate your many names. Your wisdom come, your will be done, unfolding from the depths within us. Each day you give us all that we need. You remind us of our limits and we let go. You support us in our power and we act with courage. For you are the dwelling place within us, the empowerment around us, and the celebration among us, now and forever. Amen

Guided Meditation  Imagination and the Arts as a Path to Prayer and God. God of Love, In Awe we pray with you, you who are like the light within us and water around us. May we awaken that we are breathing and swimming  in you. Amen

Anointing
Offering and Closing Musical Prayer  St Francis of Assisi Prayer
Make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred let me sow love; Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is despair, hope; Where there is darkness, light; And where there is sadness, joy, And where there is sadness, joy, joy, joy. God grant that I may not so much see; To be consoled as to console; To be understood, as to understand; To be loved as to love; For it is in giving that we receive, It is in pardoning that we pardoned. And it is in dying that we are born, to Eternal Life. Amen, Amen, Amen
