Our dear, dear Mother, daily provider, earth be your name. The time has come, to honor you, to know you and to show our love.” 1.You give us each day our daily grain, kissed by the sun and kissed by the rain. Teach us now to find a way to care for you in our work and play. Chorus 2.Within the beauty of your silent spin, we know you’re hurting and we feel your pain. With your forgiveness we can start anew. We need a chance to make it up to you. Chorus

Responsive Vow “We come to pledge to work and live as generously and wisely as we can on behalf of Mother earth and her creatures so that future generations might live and thrive and take in her beauty and her health that we may become defenders and lovers of Mother Earth.” (Matthew Fox)
Prayer(in union)Holy Mama, Great Spirit, God of Love, You who we call by many names, we give thanks for you and all of creation. We thank yo for the dark, winter, the depths within us and all that is invisible in the pre birth of advent. We follow Mary into the Christmas story, pregnant and full of love for God, pregnant with vision and hope. We pray for the 8 billion people in our human family and for the animals, plants and minerals, the water, air, land and stars. We confess that we have not recognized you in everyone, everywhere! We pray for the 150-200 species that die every day in this time of earth genocide. We pray for the humanitarian crisis on the border of Mexico as well as in Syria and the 14 million people on the brink of starvation in a war the US supports and the millions starving in Central America another place of US Empire. We pray for the 68 million refugees in the world, one in every 100 people. (Silence)We pray for the poor and the poor of spirit. We pray for our Mother Earth who has been dishonored, ignored and abused. We pray for our enemies as Jesus taught us. (Silence)We follow in Mother Mary’s footsteps and ask you to God to lead us. Like Mary we are pregnant this Advent and winter with visions of peace and justice. Amen

Closing PrayerSt. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi Prayer
Make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred let me sow love; Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is despair, hope; Where there is darkness, light; And where there is sadness, joy, And where there is sadness, joy, joy, joy. God grant that I may not so much seek; To be consoled as to console; To be understood, as to understand; To be loved as to love; For it is in giving that we receive, It is in pardoning that we pardoned. And it is in dying that we are born, to Eternal Life. Amen, Amen, Amen

*Taize Pregnant with the Vision of Justice Mary’s Magnificat
Words of WisdomBerta Cacecer was an environmental indigenous Honduran woman wholike Mary, was a prophet intimes of violence and cruel Empire. Shewas assassinated in March of this year. We dedicate this worship to her memory and to all who like Berta and Mother Mary had the courage to stand in solidarity with God and justice against violent and the tortuous forces of Empire. We ask for the spirit of Mary and Berta to be with us now. We ask Godto give us courage and vision. Berta said, “We must undertake the struggle in all parts of the world, wherever we may be, because we have no other spare or replacement planet. We have only this one, and we have to take action,”

Words of Wisdom “The Magnificat's message is so subversive that for a period during the 1980s the government of Guatemala banned its public recitation, seeing the central point of this song to be the assertion of the holiness of God. Peruvian theologian Gustave Gutierrez argues that any reading is fruitless that "attempts to tone down what Mary's song tells us about the preferential love of God for the lowly and the abused, and about the transformation of history that God's loving will implies."' Elizabeth Johnson, US Catholic Faith and Real Life, Dec. 20013
Chant Praise God whose loving covenant supports those in distress remembering past promises with present faithfulness.

Invitations: Our current ecologic crisis is a call to awaken to the reverence of life and the truth that all nature is alive and sacred. As we witness the sixth extinction of life on earth, the only one created by us humans, we are invited to reclaim the ancient wisdom traditions. We are one organic, interspecies, interconnected whole. What we do affects everything else. Every Sunday at 5 pm we acknowledge that we need one another more than ever before . and commune with the divine reality. We study the wisdom traditions from the East, West, Indigenous peoples and science. We study the teachings of Jesus and the Bible as well as the newly found gnostic gospels.
