Meditative words “Receptiveness and responsiveness to God’s call always works for ecological civilization. There is no requirement that one think about this inclusive goal. but God has called some to think about the inclusive goal and offer that understanding to others. Perhaps those who understand the common goal can receive from God calls that are not possible for those whose imagination is more limited. Some of us are called to develop and share the common vision. Others are called to give a cup of cold water to a thirsty stranger. Others are called to tell a joke. Others are called to express their love in a sexual embrace. Others are called to strive even harder in a race. Let us respect and love one another and put our hope in God’s weaving out of our small contributions a habitable planet, sensible ideas, and a humane society.” Dr. John B. Cobb Jr.

Invocation Our Dear, Dear Motherby Raffi
Our dear, dear Mother, daily provider, earth be your name. The time has come, to honor you, to know you and to show our love.” 1.You give us each day our daily grain, kissed by the sun and kissed by the rain. Teach us now to find a way to care for you in our work and play. Chorus 2.Within the beauty of your silent spin, we know you’re hurting and we feel your pain. With your forgiveness we can start anew. We need a chance to make it up to you. Chorus

Musical Prayer I Went Down to the River to Pray Allison Krauss
Prayerof Confession(in unison) God of Love, We confess that we have not recognized you in everyone, everywhere! You Holy One who are all over the place, down, up, inside and outside, you are as small as cells we cannot see with the human eye to the largeness of distant galaxies. Thank you God for our common home Mother Earth and our place here as interspecies planetary citizens. We ask for forgiveness for thinking and acting small and not radically loving our neighbors. Help us to give up ranking life forms and peoples worth in our minds. We do not know how to purify and heal ourselves of unloving habits and we come to ask for your help. Please purify and heal us that we may experience you everywhere and move into our hearts. (Silence)You who we call by many names, you who are the source of all creative life, in all galaxies may we open and attend to you. We consent to you, your truth and limitless unconditional love. (Silence)We give thanks for our bodies, minds and spirits and our interconnectedness with all of creation. We give thanks for all nature that is alive and sacred. Amen

Closing PrayerSt. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi Prayer
Make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred let me sow love; Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is despair, hope; Where there is darkness, light; And where there is sadness, joy, And where there is sadness, joy, joy, joy. God grant that I may not so much seek; To be consoled as to console; To be understood, as to understand; To be loved as to love; For it is in giving that we receive, It is in pardoning that we pardoned. And it is in dying that we are born, to Eternal Life. Amen, Amen, Amen

El shaddai, el shaddai,by Michael J. Card / John W Thompson
El shaddai, el shaddai El-elyon na adonia,
Age to age you're still the same,By the power of the name.
El shaddai, el shaddai,Erkamka na adonai,
We will praise and lift you high, El shaddai.
Through a loving Mother Maria. You saved the ancient Christ-Sophia. Through the power of your hands you turned the sea into dry land.
To the outcast on her knees, you were the Go who really sees,
and by your might you set your children free.
Sophia, Sophia, Christ Sophia Shekinah, age to age your still the same.
By the power of your many names. Sophia, Sophia, Christ Sophia Shekinah. We will praise and lift you high, Sophia.
Through the years you've made it clear,
That the time of Christ-Sophia was near,
Though the people couldn't see
What Christ-Sophia ought to be.
Through your Wisdom came the plan,
They just could not understand
Your most awesome work by the two becoming one.
Spirit, Spirit of Gentleness by James K. Manley
Spirit, spirit of gentleness.
Blow through the wilderness, calling and free.
Spirit, spirit of restlessness. Stir me from placidness.
Wind, wind on the sea.
1. You moved on the waters, You called to the deep,
Then You coaxed up the mountains. From the valley of sleep,
And over the eons You called to each thing,
"A wake from your slumbers and rise on your wings."
2. You swept through the dessert, You stung with the sand,
And You gifted your people With a law and a land,
And when they were blinded With their idols and lies,
Then You spoke through Your prophets To open their eyes.
3. You sang in a stable, You cried from a hill,
Then You whispered in silence When the whole world was still,
And down in the city You called once again
When You blew through Your people On the rush of the wind.
4. You call from tomorrow, You break ancient schemes,
From the bondage of sorrow The captives dream dreams;
Our women see visions, Our men clear their eyes.
With bold new decisions Your people arise.
Scripture Matthew 6:7-14 The Inclusive Bible the First Egalitarian Translation
7 “And when you pray, do not babble like the Gentiles. They think God will hear them if they use a lot of words. 8 Don’t imitate them, for your God knows what you need before you ask it. 9 “This is how you are to pray:
Abba God in heaven, hallowed be your name. 10May your reign come.
May your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today the bread of tomorrow.
And forgive us our debts, as we hereby forgive those who are indebted to us.
Don’t put us to the test, but free us from evil.’
“If you forgive the faults of others Abba God will forgive you yours. If you don’t forgive others, neither will Abba God forgive you.
Invitations: Our current ecologic crisis is a call to awaken to the reverence of life and the truth that all nature is alive and sacred. As we witness the sixth extinction of life on earth, the only one created by us humans, we are invited to reclaim the ancient wisdom traditions. We are one organic, interspecies, interconnected whole. What we do affects everything else. Every Sunday at 5 pm we acknowledge that we need one another more than ever before . We follow the teachings of Jesus and explore and study the newly found gnostic gospels.
